MFD-01 is a residential infill project. The design intent is to have a monolithic presence on the street with open public areas for its residents towards the back and sides of the building. It is made up of four 2 bedroom units. Each unit consists of two levels, living and kitchen on one level and bedrooms on the other. Every unit is treated as a unique volume, all volumes connect and stack to accommodate for parking on the ground level.

Lilac Road is a new 5000 square feet single family dwelling. The site is located in North County San Diego, surrounded by beautiful landscape for miles. We didn't complicate the architecture, we felt it was simple enough to feel the site and listen to the needs of the client. The design of the house was driven by views of the surroundings and how the family would experience the spaces comfortably. The dialogue was a pleasant and interesting experience.

This project was commissioned by a client who had an interesting idea for a restaurant. The Client’s intention was to follow the model of “Americanized” Mexican food, borrowed from the Southern California culture. The irony of bringing California burritos to down to Mexico was too good to pass up. Our job was to interpret a fusion condition that happens in the California style “taco shop” model. Our proposed design relies on the relationship of interior & exterior spaces, which are typical in the California model. We were also responsible for identity branding, from signage design and fabrication to menu graphics.
